In a nutshell

Emotional roller coasters y'all. Emotional roller coasters. Basically I need to walk myself down to MAC and buy some new cover up and pressed mineral powder foundation to hide the evidence.

In more important news, our church found a home! This Sunday is the first gathering in the Arts Center. Can't wait to see how it goes!

And it got eaten...

The last little bit of wedding cake nearly made it 3 years!!! As I've told you, I have kept it frozen since our special day. I would like to name the perpetrators who ate the cake: Amanda, Brad, Ashley, Brandon, Michael, Justin (did you take a bite? I don't remember.). They said it was still good! Imagine that. Notice I caught Amanda mid-bite.

They even let me blow out a candle to honor the wedding cake.

Ordinary day

Nothing funny happened to me today. Except there was this man that asked me if the 9 month old baby I was pushing a stroller wanted to do a scavenger hunt. I said no she didn't. He said can she even walk? I said no. Then I walked on. Then a foreign man in a gray suit asked me to "please! picture!" of him next to a gray warehouse. I took it and he said "sorry. thanks!" I must be very friendly.

Easter Uhl-Bures-Daubert style

Once again, we gathered together for Easter dinner. It was our last official day in Charlottesville and the amazing Uhls had us over for a delicious and plentiful meal. They are truly part of our Charlottesville family and home-away-from-home. We will miss being with them on a regular basis! Love you too, Greggy, but I know you'll move closer to us soon.

I will return. I promise. But right now I am battling cardboard cuts in my hands, paper flying all around me, dust on the baseboards, and pollen nesting in my hair. Pictures of the new home will be up soon, although not sure when I will be settled in enough to take them. Alexandria is cool.

Ashleigh Loves Me

The delivery guy said, "Hi, I have a delivery for Megert! Um..no, I mean Megan Daubert. Sorry."

I'm learning to love flowers more and more.
